Week 7: Chosen and Treasured (Deuteronomy 7:6; 14:1–2)
Before holiness is something we do, it is something we are: a people chosen, loved, and treasured by God. Holiness as belonging.
Week 8: Who Is Able to Stand? (1 Samuel 6:19–20)
The ark comes home during wheat harvest, and joy turns to fear. God's holiness is not safe, and the question it raises is the right one.
Week 9: Holy, Holy, Holy (Isaiah 6:1–8)
Isaiah sees the King, cries out over his unclean lips, is touched by a burning coal, and is sent. Holiness undoes us, cleanses us, and sends us.
Week 10: The Holy One in Your Midst (Psalm 99; Hosea 11:8–9)
God's holiness is not only why he judges. In Hosea it is the very reason he will not destroy. Holiness as the ground of mercy.
Week 11: Holiness Reaching Everything (Ezekiel 44:23; Zechariah 14:20–21)
Teach the difference between holy and common, until the day when even the horse bells and cooking pots belong to the LORD.
Week 12: Made Holy, Becoming Holy (1 Peter 1:13–16; Hebrews 10:10, 14; 12:14)
In Christ we have been made holy once for all, and we are being made holy day by day. Holiness is both a gift received and a life grown.
